Samsung May Start Taking Pre-Orders of Galaxy S8 from April 10th


Samsung has skipped the MWC event this year to unveil the most anticipated Galaxy S8 duo. However, they have planned for something big definitely. An unpacked event is scheduled to be held on March 29th in New York and London. And the company will announce their Galaxy S8 and S8+ in that event. Numerous rumors already surfaced regarding the features and specs of this device previously. It was reported earlier that the device is expected to go on sale on April 29th. But nothing about the pre-order date was been confirmed. However, a new report suggests that the pre-order for Galaxy S8 will open on April 10th.

So, users need to wait just for two weeks after the device’s announcement. Users are eagerly waiting for the device, so let’s see if it can meet the expectation. Samsung has planned to sell around 12 million sets within the first 40 days of launch. And this is the main reason the pre-order will be started soon.

Samsung has delayed the introduction of their Galaxy S8 mainly because of the Snapdragon 835 chipset. However, some other rumors suggest that it was just to prevent the repeat of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Fiasco.

As per leaks, the most awaited device will come equipped with the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. However, another variant will also be available powered with the Exynos 8895 chip. Along with this, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, and MicroSD slot will be available in the Galaxy S8 devices.

Galaxy S8 will accompany a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display while the bigger version will have a 6.2-inch screen. In the camera part, both the devices will feature the 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. 3250 mAH battery will back the smaller version, and the bigger version will have 3750 mAH battery. Both will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Vodafone to announce 28GB Data and Unlimited Calling At Rs 346


Vodafone is all set to jump into the competition with Reliance Jio. It is just last month when the Rs. 303 plan was unveiled for the Reliance Jio Prime members. And now the same plan is being declared by major telecom Vodafone as well. This plan is known as Vodafone’s ‘Welcome back offers’. It contains two plans, Rs. 342 and Rs. 346 plan. The news was first disclosed by a user named Sanjay Bafna on Twitter. More about the plan are explained below.

Welcome back offer by Vodafone

  • The offer contains two plans, Rs. 342 and Rs. 346.
  • 342 plan offers unlimited calling and 28 GB data/month. The other plan Rs. 346 offers unlimited calling, 10 GB data and 300 minutes voice calling per day. However, standard rates will be applicable post the limit for voice calling.
  • The offer is valid till 15th And customers who will recharge before this date will be entitled to additional 28 days of same benefits at free of cost.
  • This plan will be available to the prepaid customers only.
  • Customers can continue with the same plan for another 11 months if they recharge it now.

So, the plan looks really lucrative. This plan is same as Reliance’s JioPrime offer available at Rs. 303. This one too offers the same benefits, unlimited call, SMS and 28GB data/month. But while Vodafone makes their plan available to all the prepaid customers, The JioPrime offer will be available to the Prime members only. And users need to pay Rs.99 to become a prime member.
However, let’s see now which telecom can win the competition.

Vodafone has officially issued a statement regarding this plan. They have stated that the need of every Vodafone customer is diverse. And to meet that demands Vodafone tries to come up with various segmented prepositions. The welcome back offer is one such segmented offering to be valid until March 15th.

Google Assistant Will Available for All Smartphones

Google Assistant has not limited to the pixel devices anymore. Google already announced in the MWC event about their plan to make this voice search assistant available in more devices. The Android Marshmallow and Nougat are the versions to get this latest feature. Rolling out of this feature is in the process. The lucky people have already received an update of Google Play services that contain this Google assistant. So, no need of downloading any app for that. Google Assistant will be available automatically to the eligible Android users.

However, as per a report, Android users in the US will get the feature first. And then Google will make it available to the Australia, Canada, and UK users. Long press on the home button will launch Google Assistant.

Google Assistant is the successor of Google Now. But the later version is more improved and is packed with numerous features. The Google Assistant offers more of personal and conversational tone than Google Now. Also, booking a reservation, making a list and answering follow-up questions, etc. are easily and quickly done through this voice search.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with In-Display Fingerprint to be Launched in the Second Half of 2017


Xiaomi is all set to launch the next version of its Mi Mix. It will come in the second half of the year. Lei Jun has confirmed that the famous French designer named Philip Starck would design the smartphone series Mi Mix 2. More features of this phone will come soon enough. As expected, this series might include some exciting features.
Recently, another Chinese company named Goodix had introduced the new feature of “in-display” fingerprint. It has brought this feature at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona. This feature can convert the general display into the touch feature. Therefore, the need of the fingerprint button can be removed.
Another analyst said that Apple too would include this fingerprint feature on iPhone 8. But even before that, Goodix became the first mobile company to use this feature.
Xiaomi’s analyst has said the information about Mi Mix 2. This phone too will feature this functionality. The smartphone is supposed to come in the 2nd half of 2017. In addition to the fingerprint service, Mi Mix 2 might also have some extra features. This might be the higher screen to body ratio. This ratio can be greater than 91.3 percent in the next Mi Mix series. There could be several better services with the release of the Mi Mix 2.

Xiaomi Mi 5c Available from Today In China: Surge S1 chipset With 3GB of RAM


Xiaomi launched their first own developed processor Surge S1 chipset just a few days back. The launched also accompanied the launch of another handset Mi 5C. This is the successor of Mi 5 released during the last MWC event. And the good news is this device will go on sale starting today in China. Mi5c is a mid range Smartphone powered with that Surge S1 chipset. So, Xiaomi became the fourth company to come out with Smartphone equipped with an own developed processor.

Surge S1 processor

The first processor from Xiaomi is designed to offer excellence performance at less energy. It is an Octa-core 64-bit processor that will run at 2.2 GHz. The inclusion of quad-core GPU made the processor around 40% more power efficient.  Also, other added advantages of the new chipset are improved call quality, better image quality, enhanced light sensitivity and better low light scene shooting. The development of this chipset took around 28 months as per the company. They have started the process in 2014 October and completed in 2017.

YouTube TV: Live TV Streaming Service Unveiled by YouTube



YouTube has finally come into the entertainment industry after a long wait. YouTube launched its live TV streaming services as the YouTube TV. It all occurred at the Playa Vista office of the company. A crowd of around 100 journalists was present during the official launch of the YouTube TV.

The new service by YouTube will know as the YouTube TV is different from the YouTube Red. This was operational at Google’s internet video system for years. The new service by YouTube has been setting contracts with several media companies as well. This is aimed the distribution of the content to the TV service by YouTube.

Bloomberg News and The WSJ have previously reported that several leaks have already been made to be offered by the YouTube TV services. As per Bloomberg, the video site YouTube was talking with all the major networks to publish their content. CBS is the first-ever major TV network to sign up the services. Even other leading studios have joined the discussions. These studios include Disney, Comcast’s NBCUniversal, and 21st Century Fox. These studios own ESPN, ABC and even others.

YouTube has confirmed that how the channels will be priced and set up. The YouTube TV service by YouTube is available at a low cost. There is a provision for a family of 6 accounts that is available for a small amount of $35 per month. In addition to this, there is no requirement of the long-term contract. Earlier, The WSJ (Wall Street Journal) had announced the pricing of the services to be between $25 and $40 per month.
