The Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has officially unveiled 5x dual zoom system for the smartphone at MWC on Monday. However, Oppo has not announced any smartphone in this event. In similar fashion, in last year event, it had showcased it super VOOC flash charge battery technology for its devices. Seems, Oppo is participating in this event not to reveal hardware but just the technology only.

This is a 5x dual camera zoom system and sports a periscope-style setup. This powerful camera, placed at the rear front with its sleek 5.7mm thickness, will kill all the need of the users. Oppo has not announced the date when this new photography tech will come in its smartphone. We can expect that it will use 5x Dual Camera Zoom system on its flagship smartphone. The 5X dual zoom tech houses more than 50 parts which have been stacked in a 5.7mm module.
As per company reports, this new optical zoom smartphone technology is developed by its engineer in collaboration with an Israeli startup named Corephotonics. This has taken almost a year to research this tech. The company has used its image fusion technology for digital zoom.
If we talk about more depth in tech, it diverts the light through a prism into the telephoto lens. This tech provides focal length three times longer than the primary wide-angle lens and provides best quality lossless 5X Zoom. The company has utilized optical image stabilization that will help to keep your shots steady. Further, the company said that both the prism and the telephoto lens will compensate for them in real time and will provide a 40% enhanced OIS performance.
