Finally, it is time for Nokia again! We did miss the highly durable and stylish smartphone models from Nokia. For those in love with Nokia, it is good news. Nokia has announced the launch of the smartphone models Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. These will be Android-based smartphones. The announcement was made by the Finland-based HMD Global at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Sunday. The company has also announced the respective prices for each model. All the three models will be available for buying in Q2 2017. Nokia 3 is priced at 139 euros, Nokia 5 for 189 euros and Nokia 6 for 229 euros. Nokia 6 will be available in a limited Art (piano) black edition for 299 euros.

In addition to these models, the company has also re-launched the old classic model of Nokia 3310. The 3310 is especially meant for the Nokia fans. It is priced at 49 euros with some striking features.

Nokia 6 which was earlier only a China-exclusive is now available for the global market. It is a metallic smartphone built with 6000 series aluminum. Some of the striking features of Nokia 6 include:

Nokia 5 flaunts a 5.2 –inch screen, while Nokia 3 has a 5-inch screen. Nokia 5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapizel front camera. It’s similar to Nokia 6 in the build. It has a full-metal body and a fingerprint scanner system. The model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It supports 2 GB of RAM and an expandable internal memory of 16 GB.

For Nokia 3, it is 8-megapixel camera both on the front and rear. It also has a strong body with an aluminum frame. The model is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. The model provides 2 GB of RAM and an expandable internal memory of 16 GB.

All of these models – Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will sport the version of the Android Nougat OS. They will also come with Google’s AI Assistant.

MWC 2017: Oppo unveiled 5x Dual Camera Zoom System

The Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has officially unveiled 5x dual zoom system for the smartphone at MWC on Monday. However, Oppo has not announced any smartphone in this event. In similar fashion, in last year event, it had showcased it super VOOC flash charge battery technology for its devices. Seems, Oppo is participating in this event not to reveal hardware but just the technology only.

MWC 2017: Lenovo Yoga 520, Yoga 720 Laptops Launched

Lenovo has launched the new Yoga 520 and Yoga 720 laptops at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 in Barcelona. Xiaomi’s First Pinecone CPU, the Surging S1 Announced

Besides their announcement of Surge S1 chipset, they also announced the Xiaomi Mi 5C smartphone. Mi 5C smartphone has been powered by their in-house chip Surge S1.

Chief Executive of Xiaomi, Lei Jun said that by creating the chipset Xiaomi has achieved a point of zenith. This move is a major step ahead in the development of their company. To deliver their undertaking to make innovation available for all, they would have to master the staple expertise of their trade and closely assimilate the development of their hardware with their software. This will enable them to manufacture better smartphones which will unswervingly amaze the industry and enhance customer delight, he added.

Pinecone is a fully-owned subsidiary of Xiaomi that was set up on October 16, 2014. Pinecone was set up for research and development to design and develop chipset.

Surge S1 Features

The chipset has an octa-core processor with four high-performances ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 4 power-efficient ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz, arranged using big. LITTLE structure so the eight cores can be actually used.

Xiaomi also revealed that the AnTuTu score of Surge 1 higher than Helio P2o and Snapdragon 625 chipsets. Although the AnTuTu scores do not actually speak about the life performance of the chipset the Surge 1 definitely takes its place between these two processors.
